I recently had an appeal and hearing before the PA Civil Service Commission.

I felt that Mr. Dougherty’s ability to bring a complicated situation down to the simple facts of the case was extremely helpful.

I had never been through any type of “court” proceedings before and he helped to calm my anxiety and prepare me properly which most definitely helped during the entire process. I was expecting to be extremely nervous on the stand, but it never materialized because Mr. Dougherty took control and gave me the extra time to go over things beforehand.

During the hearing, he nailed things I had not even noticed and was able to present my case and left me feeling that we could not have done any better in what we presented. He also made sure to ask me during the hearing if there was anything I wanted/needed to add after each witness.

He has knowledge, experience and also the common sense to tackle tough issues. Maybe it is just because I am a first timer in court, but he has angles that are important to a case – outside the box… I really appreciated this because if you don’t have it, you don’t stand a chance.
