Beware of Social Security Disability Scams

Recently we have had clients call us and tell us that they were called by the Social Security Office and advised that their Social Security Disability benefits were being discontinued or denied and that the caller needed their personal information including the last four digits of their social security number.  Be advised that THIS COULD BE A SCAM.  The caller may advise you that benefits are being discontinued because of an arrest warrant that was issued for you in another state.  If the social security office were to call you, they will always ask for your full social security number or nothing at all.  In addition, as long as the Social Security office has your correct mailing address, you will be mailed a notice advising you of any change in your benefits, if your benefits were to be discontinued.

If you have questions about your social security disability claim, you should speak to an experienced Social Security Disability lawyer.
